We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Lazylists platform or use our services. We will not request any information from you that may not be beneficial to an individual using our service.
- Account Information: We collect your email address, password (stored in encrypted format), and zip code to create and manage your account and its related files.
- User Content: We collect images of trading cards ("Card Scans") that you upload to the platform for organization.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, and compliance with our legal obligations.
A. Core Service Delivery
- a1- Account Management: To manage your account, login authentication, and localized features.
- a2- Image Processing: We use programmed systems to recognize text and details on your Card Scans to provide the core Lazylists inventory service. As part of this service, Card Scans are passed (via Gemini API during initial Card Scans processing) to a LLM ("Large Language Model"). If additional LLMs and Third-Party sub-processors are ever utilized; we will take distinct and reasonable action to make individuals aware of such changes.
- a3- Image Storage: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the platform. We have contracts with these vendors to ensure they safeguard your data. Google Cloud Storage (GCS) secure cloud hosting for Card Scans.
- a4- Account-Related Inventory Data Storage: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the platform. We have contracts with these vendors to ensure they safeguard your data. These third-party vendors are utilized to assist with data storage, data transmission, data preservation, service perservation, and individual inventory to marketplace integration.
Note for individuals: "Does Google train its AI on my cards?"
No. We use the paid, professional version of Google's AI services. Unlike the free consumer versions of AI tools, our agreement ensures that the images you upload are never used to train Google's AI models. Your images are processed securely, the data is extracted for your benefit as an individual utilizing Lazylists' service by assisting with vital and necessary elements of the Lazylist Core Service Delivery, and then the images are discarded by the AI provider.
B. The Potential for Future Service Improvement & AI Training
We may use anonymized or aggregated data derived from your Card Scans to train, tune, and improve the proprietary Lazylists Core Service Delivery. Potential utilization of these data may assist us improving recognition accuracy for all users. This statement is not provided to describe the current Lazylist product. This statement is provided to enrich individual understanding of potential future changes to our existing product and data operations which may impact individual privacy. Should we endeavor to utilize Card Scans data to improve our Core Service Delivery distinct and reasonable effort shall be undertaken to both inform individuals & request consent for such purposes.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and Card Scans only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active.
- Card Scans: Retained to display your collection. If you delete a card from your list, the image is removed from our live storage (though backups may exist for a limited period).
